Ahmed Shaikhani

Dubai-based Pakistani businessman with the Shaikhani Group and a former president of the Pakistan Business Council Dubai, a prominent figure in the UAE’s Pakistani business community.

Ahmed Shaikhani is a Dubai-based Pakistani businessman associated with the Shaikhani Group, a diversified business group with interests spanning real-estate development, construction, trading and manufacturing. Major UAE outlets have described him as the group’s managing director (Gulf News) and as its chairman (Gulf Today). The group, earlier known as the Memon Group, was founded by his late father, Abu Baker Shaikhani. Through the group’s real-estate arm, Memon Investments, Shaikhani oversaw the Champions Tower residential series at Dubai Sports City, units of which were handed over to buyers from 2016 onward.

He is best known for his leadership of the Pakistani business community in the UAE. He served as president of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) Dubai—a trade body operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce—in 2016, and was again elected president for the 2021–2022 term after two years as a director. In that role he promoted UAE–Pakistan trade ties, organised investment seminars and coordinated the Pakistani business community’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.

Shaikhani has also held office in the World Memon Organisation, serving as vice-president and later regional president of its Middle East chapter. In July 2021 he was among a group of PBC Dubai members granted the UAE’s 10-year Golden Visa residency, in a drive backed by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
