Faizal Kottikollon
The Kerala-born industrialist and philanthropist behind KEF Holdings and the Faizal & Shabana Foundation.
Faizal Kottikollon began his UAE business career as a scrap-metal trader, founding a trading company in Ajman in 1995 and then the foundry Emirates Techno Casting, which became a significant supplier of industrial valves to the oil-and-gas sector. He sold the business to Tyco International around 2011-12 and used the proceeds to reshape KEF Holdings around infrastructure, investment, healthcare and wellness.
His later ventures included a modular offsite-construction business and Meitra Hospital in Calicut, Kerala. He has been recognised by Forbes Middle East among the leading Indian business figures in the Arab world.
With his wife, Shabana Faizal, he established the Faizal & Shabana Foundation in 2007, the family’s philanthropic arm, supporting education, healthcare and humanitarian projects in the UAE and India. He has also been associated with the leadership of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park.
